The Tig Star Mr. Pointy tungsten grinder is a compact enclosed grinder used to sharpen tungsten electrodes for TIG welding. Consistent tungsten geometry helps produce stable arc starts and controlled arc direction during welding. Using a dedicated grinder also reduces the risk of contamination that can occur when tungsten is sharpened on a general shop grinder.
The grinder supports multiple tungsten diameters and preset sharpening angles. This allows welders to prepare electrodes for different welding amperage ranges and material thicknesses while maintaining consistent point geometry.
The enclosed design includes a dust cap to help limit grinding dust exposure. The portable case and compact size allow welders to carry the grinder to fabrication areas, maintenance jobs, or field work where tungsten preparation must be done near the welding area.
